bro to bro, bro to sis, avoid physical conflict at all costs. whatever will make you fight, please leave that environment and run. so earlier this morning, I went to the gym. I was doing bench press, then I stood up to get my water. when I came back, this new guy had removed the plate I was using. I went to him calmly and told him I was still using it and needed it coz I had 5 more sets to go. this dude said he wanted to use it and that I should come back for it when he’s done. I was like, ‘as how na? from where to where?’ then I told him he clearly saw someone was using the plate, yet he still took it. atp, I had already started getting angry. I bent down to take the plate, and this guy pushed me. I stood up and told him, ‘guy, no try that thing again o.’ I bent down again to take the plate, and he pushed me one more time. that was when I lost it and landed a punch on his neck. bro fell down and didn’t stand up for like 60 seconds. he didn’t even move his body at all 😭😭. I just froze there. in my mind, I was saying, ‘God abeg, make this guy no die.’ the other guys around rushed to help him regain consciousness. after about 3 minutes, he finally woke up. Omo… the plate o, the bench press o, I just left everything and went home 😭. I got home, knelt down, and thanked God. I promised myself I won’t engage in any physical conflict again. so please, anytime you find yourself in that kind of situation, even if they started it, I beg you in God’s name, RUN!! you don’t know who is who. there are a lot of walking dead among us.
