It doesn’t help because that’s a heresy in and of itself that wasn’t constructed until much later. So none of the first century Christians believed in the consubstantiality therefore you’d write them off too since apparently your creeds supersede scripture and written documents from before Nicea as well. You can get lost in the weeds all day long but this right here is exactly why you are not a Christian, because Scripture doesn’t say that. Sure you’re taught that Jesus died on the cross and rose again, but it’s not enough. You believe you only receive [whatever version of eternal life you believe in] if YOU do the work of “overcoming” life’s obstacles in a way that satisfies your church doctrines. Jesus paid it ALL. It is he and he alone who is the atonement for your sin and guarantees your salvation.

So now our hymns are the source of official doctrine of the church? You’re trying really really hard there bud. You must be elastic man with how good you can stretch. Here’s a simple enough thing to understand (I hope). A lot of people believed it ≠ Doctrine. Your Sunday school teacher believes it ≠ Doctrine. If it is taught and affirmed by the 12 apostles and the first presidency then it is Doctrine. So to nail down doctrine, look at the collective statements of all 15 of them and you’d have it super simple
