ಅವಾಸ್ತವಿಕ ನೀತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಬಿಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿರುವ @INCKarnataka ಸರ್ಕಾರ, ಕಳೆದ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ನೀಡುವ ಅನುದಾನವನ್ನೂ ಕಡಿತಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಪ್ರಗತಿಗೆ ಎಳ್ಳುನೀರು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟು 32 ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳಿವೆ. ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುದಾನ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ಬದಲು ಕಡಿತಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. 2023-24ರ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ₹41 ಕೋಟಿ, 2024-25ರ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ₹30 ಕೋಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ 2025-26ರ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ₹20 ಕೋಟಿಗೆ ಇಳಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಕಡೆಗಣಿಸಿದೆ. ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ, ಪ್ರಯೋಗಾಲಯ, ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳೇ ಕುಸಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ ? ಒಂದು ಕಡೆ ಅತಿಥಿ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರು, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ ನೀಡಲು ವೇತನವಿಲ್ಲ, ಮತ್ತೊಂದೆಡೆ ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಸಮಿತಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಮತ್ತು ಐದು ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರ ವೇತನ, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ ₹55 ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೂ ವ್ಯಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯನವರೇ, ಹಿಂಬಾಲಕರಿಗೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ರೂಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿ. #CongressFailsKarnataka

Government sharply cuts fuel excise: Big relief for citizens The Government has taken a decisive step to shield citizens from rising global fuel prices by sharply reducing excise duties, petrol duty has been cut from ₹13 to ₹3 per litre, while diesel duty has been brought down to nil from ₹10. Amid escalating tensions in West Asia and a steep surge in crude oil prices, from around $70/barrel to nearly $122/barrel in just a month, fuel prices have risen across the world. Countries in Southeast Asia have seen hikes of 30–50%, North America around 30%, Europe about 20%, and Africa close to 50%. India stands out as a rare exception. Faced with this global volatility, the @narendramodi Government chose to absorb the financial burden rather than pass it on to citizens. This move not only reduces pressure on oil companies but also ensures that there is effectively no additional burden on the common man. Despite significant revenue implications, the Government has prioritized public welfare, continuing its consistent approach since the Russia-Ukraine conflict began, by insulating citizens from global price shocks. Additionally, export duties have been imposed, ₹21.5 per litre on diesel and ₹29.5 per litre on ATF, to ensure adequate domestic availability and prevent undue profiteering amid high international prices. This timely and bold decision reflects a clear commitment to economic stability and citizen welfare in challenging global circumstances.

As the world is reeling under fuel shortages amid the West Asia crisis, driving up prices globally, the Modi government's decision to cut excise duty on fuel brings much-needed relief to citizens.  While many nations have hiked diesel and petrol prices, Modi govt’s decision to reduce excise duty underscores its people-centric governance and sensitivity-led decision-making. Kudos to PM Shri @narendramodi Ji for this decision.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫, 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲 — 𝟐𝟕 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟗𝟒𝟖 Not many people know, but after the British left India, the princely state of Kalat did not join either India or Pakistan. On 15 August 1947, it declared independence and remained a sovereign state for more than seven and a half months, running its own administration and foreign contacts. However, everything changed on 27 March 1948. That day, the All India Radio broadcast news of a press conference addressed by V. P. Menon, Secretary in India’s Ministry of States. The bulletin stated that the Khan of Kalat had been pressing India to accept Kalat’s accession, but that India (and Jawaharlal Nehru) would have nothing to do with it. The announcement spread rapidly and reached Kalat within hours. The impact was immediate. The ruler of Kalat, Mir Ahmad Yar Khan, suddenly found himself diplomatically isolated. With Pakistan already exerting pressure and the outside world hearing that India had refused him, his political room for manoeuvre collapsed. By the evening of 27 March 1948, the Khan decided to accede to Pakistan, bringing an abrupt end to Kalat’s brief period of independence and permanently altering the future of Balochistan. Kalat had ceased to exist as an independent state, and the map of South Asia had shifted once again — not by a battle or treaty, but by the power of a single radio broadcast heard across borders.
