Machado made a mockery of herself and the Nobel Peace Prize.

Trading a Nobel Peace Prize for a Trump merch bag isn't the strongest advertisement for one's fitness to lead a country.

⚠️🇮🇪⚠️ Garron Noone Deletes All Social Media Amidst An All-Out Attack Against Him Because Of Remarks Stated In His LAST Video!
The mainstream media apparatus has now turned its sights on one of Ireland’s most gifted and beloved comedians, vilifying him for the simple act of answering a question, for daring to speak candidly on Conor McGregor and immigration. A man once celebrated, now condemned.
They are not merely criticising Garron Noone, they are attempting to erase him. To bully a decent, principled man into silence. A man whose comedy and music reached across divides, whose work was once embraced and adored by the very institutions that now seek to disown him.
Consider the hypocrisy: the same mainstream voices that champion tolerance and decry toxicity now turn, without irony, to mob tactics and public shaming. Why? Because Garron has spoken a truth that does not conform to their carefully curated narrative.
If someone of Garron stature, an artist with a vast and loyal following, can be silenced so swiftly, what chance has the ordinary citizen? What fate awaits the rest of us who dare to speak freely?
Ireland, awaken. This is not a storm on the horizon. This is the climate we are living in now.
Stay delicious Garron.

A statement from @ESBNetworks to clarify some comments by Chief Executive in radio interview this week. Still thousands without power tonight on another cold night in the West and Midlands

The Irish government needs to immediately repeal the ‘green’ taxes on home heating fuel, diesel and petrol. Those, and solid fuels are the only thing keeping us going in storm crippled rural Ireland right now. The diesel is powering our private diesel generators, our tractors and machinery clearing roads, the petrol is powering our chainsaws and petrol generators. It’s profoundly wrong to be gouging us for extra money to pay for moronic projects that don’t work for anyone in the real world, especially those of us in the parts of Ireland that are dark and cold tonight.

Listening to @NTBreakfast I hear the argument being made that there is nothing to be achieved by the Dail coming back from their holidays to reconvene. I strongly disagree; if they’re stuck for ideas than can start by repealing the legislation that has meant people have had to build new ‘green’ homes in rural Ireland without any capacity to heat them with timber/turf or diesel. They can immediately repeal all the ‘green’ taxes on the diesel we are having to run our generators on. They can put pressure on insurance companies to expedite payments of legitimate claims for storm damage. They can allocate resources so that the Garda can surge resources into the affected areas to prevent burglaries given that no alarm systems are going to be working properly. Then there’s the matter of the power, water and mobile communications…

They call us "The Elderly"
We were born in the 40-50-60’s.
We grew up in the 50-60-70's.
We studied in the 60-70-80's.
We were dating in the 70-80-90's.
We got married and discovered the world in the 70-80-90's.
We venture into the 80-90’s.
We stabilize in the 2000’s.
We got wiser in the 2010’s.
And we are going firmly through and beyond 2020.
Turns out we've lived through EIGHT different decades...
TWO different centuries...
TWO different millennia...
We have gone from the telephone with an operator for long–distance calls to video calls to anywhere in the world.
We have gone from slides to YouTube, from vinyl records to online music, from handwritten letters to email and Whats App.
From live matches on the radio, to black and white TV, colour TV and then to 3D HD TV.
We went to the Video store and now we watch Netflix.
We got to know the first computers, punch cards, floppy disks and now we have gigabytes and megabytes on our smartphones.
We wore shorts throughout our childhood and then long trousers, Oxfords, flares, shell suits & blue jeans.
We dodged infantile paralysis, meningitis, polio, tuberculosis, swine flu and now COVID-19.
We rode skates, tricycles, bicycles, mopeds, petrol or diesel cars and now we drive hybrids or electric.
Yes, we've been through a lot but what a great life we've had!
They could describe us as "exennials," people who were born in that world of the sixties , who had an analog childhood and a digital adulthood.
We've kind of "Seen-It-All"!
Our generation has literally lived through and witnessed more than any other in every dimension of life.
It is our generation that has literally adapted to "CHANGE."
A big round of applause to all the members of a very special generation, which will always be UNIQUE!
Class dismissed…
