Only with this short film do I express the highest respect to all the leaders and volunteers of the Chinese Americans for Harris (CAFH) group! My sincerest thanks to all Chinese American voters who voted for Harris! Together, we have contributed our utmost efforts to the 2024 presidential election. Amid the sweeping tides of history, conscientious Chinese Americans have shown a clear mind, steadfast will, broad vision, and unyielding perseverance, proving the strength of the Chinese American community to the world.
It is precisely because of this that I can stand proudly, with no regrets, for founding the CAFH group for Harris, weathering storms with Harris supporters across the nation, braving the currents together to fulfill an upward mission. I believe our collective efforts have crafted each frame of this short film, recording every step of this challenging journey and composing an epic chapter—a “Exodus”-like story of Chinese Americans fighting against racial discrimination and participating in politics.
Finally, let me repeat a phrase I’ve been saying for 20 years:
“If you are not at the table, you will be on the menu.”
Your Vote is Your Voice!
Victory for Harris!
– Ling Luo (Danqi), Founder of the Chinese Americans for Harris Group

On Nov 2 CAFH volunteer Xiaolin joined Ms Lin who drove to Wisconsin suburbs from Chicago in the past a few weekends canvassing for #HarrisWalz. They Canvassed in Burlington town in the morning, and knocked on doors in Waterford in the afternoon. There were less #HarrisWalz2024 yard signs in the Wisconsin suburbs. More #HarrisWalz yard signs in Kenosha town than the suburbs of Racine county. #Harris yard signs were removed by Trump supporters in Wisconsin rural areas. Democratic voters really concerned if America will have another election if we can’t win 2024. Democratic voters thanked CAFH volunteers’s effort knocking on doors. Protect America’s democracy & fight for a safe, united America #aapi4harris #antihate #VoteBlueDownBallot

CAFH members Lola, Yen, LWang, Ying, Dr Willie Wu, Dr Lu Shi canvassed in Philadelphia Chinatown on Oct 26 from New York City, New Jersey & Pennsylvania. They helped the Chinese/Asian voters. PA only can register the mail in ballots at the specific locations which will end on Oct 29. Voters were waiting for more than 2 hours at the City Hall on Saturday. This is a voter suppression. Every state should make it easier to vote. Every PA vote is a golden vote to decide who will be our next president! Every Vote Counts. Democrats are committed to creating a more inclusive and equitable society for all. Show your support for their policies by voting blue.

October 25 marked a historic day for Texas. U.S. presidential candidate Kamala Harris took a break from battleground states to join forces with superstar Beyoncé in Houston for a major rally themed “Reproductive Freedom.” The event, also supporting Texas Senate candidate Collin Allred, drew significant attention, highlighting Allred’s close competition with Ted Cruz. Held at Shell Energy Stadium, the rally saw 1.5 million registrations, with 30,000 gaining entry due to space limits. Ling Luo, founder of CAFH (Chinese Americans for Harris), led the Houston chapter to support Harris as the “background wall.”
Despite Texas’s reputation as a deep-red state, efforts from the Democratic Party have gradually turned parts of it purple. Yet, conservative forces remain strong, backing open carry gun laws, restricting reproductive rights, and implementing land purchase bans targeting Chinese residents.
In contrast, Houston, as a blue city in a red state, demonstrated unwavering support. Thousands of Harris supporters began lining up outside the stadium as early as 4 a.m., enduring the Texas heat with enthusiasm. As night fell, a sea of glowing wristbands lit up the stadium, creating a spectacular sight.
The rally featured speeches by women affected by Texas’s restrictive abortion laws and a powerful appearance by OB-GYNs, who criticized the impact of these laws on women’s rights and healthcare.
The event’s highlight was Beyoncé’s appearance. She officially endorsed Harris, emphasizing her support as a mother for protecting children from harmful laws. Beyoncé’s passionate remarks resonated with Harris’s stance on reproductive justice. She then introduced Vice President Harris to the stage.
Despite her demanding schedule, Harris delivered a powerful speech to the thousands in attendance, reaffirming her commitment to reproductive rights and addressing climate change and economic policies.
The CAFH team, invited as special “background wall” guests. They felt honored to participate in such a significant rally, witnessing the enthusiasm of Houston voters firsthand.
The rally’s atmosphere resembled a concert, with 90-year-old Willie Nelson and his band delivering a captivating performance. The event also underscored the importance of early voting, with record turnout reported nationwide. With only nine days until Election Day, voters are urged to cast their ballots and support Harris in protecting women’s rights.

Early voting for the U.S. election took place today, October 21, in Texas. After visiting two polling stations, I finally found one at a lakeside clubhouse with no line and cast my solemn vote! The fate of America and the future of Chinese Americans are decided by this vote!
Go vote! Cast your vote for presidential candidate Harris and other Democratic candidates! Because Trump and the Republicans are the ones behind all the anti-Chinese laws, only the Democrats have consistently fought for the rights of Chinese Americans!
Always remember: “If you are not at the table, you are on the menu!”

On October 9th, The CAFH leadership team hosted a special virtual meetup to recognize and empower more than 45 dedicated volunteers who have been tirelessly working across various action groups to support the Harris campaign. The event featured inspiring speeches from Texas State Representative Gene Wu, Maryland State Representative Lily Qi, and Kansas State Representative Rui Xu, who delivered empowering messages to the CAFH group, calling this grassroots organization the foundation for building a strong community of civic engagement.
The meeting was hosted by CAFH Founding Chair Ling Luo, who delivered opening remarks and extended heartfelt appreciation to all volunteers for their remarkable efforts since July 20th, the day President Biden passed the torch to Vice President Kamala Harris.
During the meetup, action group leaders shared updates on their accomplishments and outlined plans for the final stretch of the campaign. Super volunteers Dr. Xin Qiu and Cissy Liang also shared their touching stories from phone banking and canvassing experiences, further motivating the team.
The atmosphere was electrifying, with the energy so strong that volunteers were reluctant to leave. The meeting, initially planned for one hour, extended to three hours, filled with enthusiasm and camaraderie. The CAFH team is more determined than ever to push forward and work harder until we see Harris-Walz across the finish line!
