Last night I watched the fight in episode 5 and thought the medieval combat was quite refreshing. There will always be stuff to nitpick but it's funny to see how far we've come.
Years ago true medieval lovers would stick their necks out and get bullied for suggesting that combat in fantasy would look better with more historical technique rather than mindless flailing. We asked for armor that actually works; we asked for practical weapon design; we asked for HEMA techniques like half-swording and mordhau strikes. Now that we're finally seeing those things, the Hollywood sympathizers who used to bully us are being quiet because audiences are loving it just like we knew they would.

Europeans are likely to conclude that they are better off making their peace with China and building a closer relationship.
