Just finished another great session at #ATIA2022 about collaborating to create AT for students with physical disabilities. Can we get some AT makers here in @AVRCE_NS? Tech Ed teachers and students as partners in assistive technology would be wonderful. @AvrceS

Ending off the day today with an exceptional session at #ATIA2022. Receptive vocabulary instruction for our AAC users. Great connections to tiered vocabulary instruction. Truly inclusive practices. @AvrceS

Lots of great reminders about person-centred planning in the #ATIA2022 session called, “Power of the Pivot.” Key takeaway - let’s avoid getting too focused on our outcomes and goals that we lose sight of what our students tell us is important to them.

When the time is right, I would love to offer some facilitated learning in @AVRCE_NS about shared reading instruction for our AAC learners thanks to #ATIA. Check out sharedreader.org

Excellent first #ATIA2022 session all about emergent writing tools and strategies. So many ideas to bring back to @AvrceS. Key idea - think about the “mark making tool of their future” and provide opportunities to experience and play with that tool.
