Teacher trainee recruitment in England this year will be substantially below target for the third year running, and for 11th time in the last 12 years Recruitment is a key part (not only - retention is vital) of this crisis because it's still 20% lower than before the pandemic

Hi @UKLabour, we like the idea of 6,500 new teachers. But this only means one extra for every three schools. Also, after 3 years 1 in 4 teachers leave: that would leave only 4,875. So, what will you do to solve the recruitment and retention crisis?
