been trying to work out what to say about Gboyega that won't be said better by someone else, and what I haven't seen anyone say so far is that he did not do air kisses. when he kissed your cheek he kissed your actual fucking cheek. and today I'm so grateful for that sense memory.

only Gboyega could perform a 60 second poem at a major slam and gain 2nd place. someone that enchanted every stage he touched and poured so much hope into his peers and friends. the best of the best, for real & for true.

Poetry fam, if you feel you need it, gather together, either at Poetry Cafe or in your own self elected spaces. Grieving in solitude is fine too, but you don't have to be alone with your feelings if you don't want to be. Feels imp to be physically with eachother right now x

Like the whole poetry community, we are in shock and distress at today's news. The Poetry Café at 22 Betterton Street in London will be open today to hold space for anyone who wants to sit and be together. We will provide hot drinks. All are welcome to drop in from 5pm til late.
