2026 RHP @LukeRothrock of @BaseballWatauga brings an interesting offering to the bump. He has a little bit of "herky-jerky" that I like. 6'2" 190 frame is good to build upon. Get's downhill pretty good but still has a little east/west finish in the upper body (that might be the "herky-jerky"). FB sat 77-79; seems like it comes at you a little quicker. More velo coming. IVB 15.86, HB 8.51. CB with spins up to 2164; IVB -0.37, HB -6.60; has good control of the pitch. Some feel for the CH. Has thrown meaningful varsity innings for Coach @SeanBurroughs73; wants the ball 4.2 GPA with an interest in studying Architecture

I had a chance to watch 2027 RHP @DanielJonesWHS of @BaseballWatauga pitch this past Spring. He started vs Ashe County and shoved! Since then he's bumped his velo up a bit; Daniel was 82 in the Spring, but was up to 84 for me on 9/11. He also hit a couple bigger numbers in the mid 8s during the Showcase season. I really enjoyed watching him throw during the Varsity season and knew he was a competitor that wants the ball. Again, FB sat 82-84 w/ spins up to 2210 from a low 3/4 slot that creates some run & rise. Throws a sharp 71-74 SL (-11.56 HB, 4.91 IVB). Good feel for the CH; throws it a little harder 75-77; Gets some solid fading movement (20.43 HB, 9.09) I think Jones has the stuff and presence to step into and solidify the Ace role for Coach @SeanBurroughs73 and help lead a strong Pioneers roster. @WataugaPioneers @ZWCsports @WataugaOnline

MILLER HANKINS showed up strong last week, playing in 3️⃣ state playoff games, for 2️⃣ teams, in 2️⃣ counties, in 4️⃣ days… ⚽️ playing just short of 2️⃣ full games for Watauga Soccer, 1 in frigid temps & the other going into double overtime! 🏈 kicking 5️⃣ PAT’s in Friday’s win!
