lando speaking about how drivers have little control and are at the mercy of the power unit:
"the problem is, it deploys into 130R. i have to lift, otherwise i'll drive into him, and then i'm not allowed to go back on throttle."
"there's nothing i can do about it. there's just not enough control for a driver, and that's why you're just too much at the mercy of what's behind you. that's just not how it should be."

🚨 | Carlos Sainz on the Bearman crash:
"We've been warning this kind of accident was going to happen.
"Here we were lucky there was an escape road. Now imagine going to Baku, Singapore, or Vegas - and having these closing speeds."

when was the last time you saw an F1 driver limping away from a crash?
Max and Oscar’s crashes in Australia and Ollie’s big shunt in Japan today .. they are all from those sudden battery power spikes under 2026 regs exactly like Alonso warned….
overtaking feels “accidental” now you suddenly have more battery power than the car ahead during close racing. This forces a split-second choice: crash into them or successfully pass (more like dodging a collision)… or maneuver evasively without a true overtake…
they have 5 weeks.. ⏳

"they (george and his engineer) were also being quite cheeky. his engineer was telling him things on the radio, my engineer was telling me what his engineer was telling him, but he was doing then the opposite 😭
that put me into quite a bit of pressure at one point. i think they told me 'oh, he's being told to use everything in the back straight' or maybe in the main straight and he was doing the opposite of that. so i understood pretty quickly and could defend, but at one point i got surprised in the last corner"
