Margot took me on and rescued me as a PhD student. Her kindness & generosity marked her as unique, let alone her unmatched influence as a scholar. She was a force of nature- I will never forget the power of her voice. She could command any room, and deserved to. I will miss her.

We mourn Professor Margot Brazier, who died peacefully on 4 March. Margot's work inspired generations of healthcare lawyers and ethicists, and informed health policy for decades. Margot was exceptionally kind, clever, funny and wise. We will miss her so much @law_uom

Welcome to the age of generative genome design! In 1977, Sanger et al. sequenced the first genome—of phage ΦX174. Today, led by @samuelhking, we report the first AI-generated genomes. Using ΦX174 as a template, we made novel, high-fitness phages with genome language models. 🧵
