@BBCRadioSolent We wouldn’t say a “lack” of ticket sales, but they weren’t strong enough for us to go ahead with the show this year with the ever increasing costs of hosting a very full programme.

Hampshire's @Blissfields festival has been cancelled this year due to a lack of ticket sales.

@sexyweirdos @BMWavesBlog Some people nowadays want two stages, basic lager, and their own bed at the end of the day... plus a few chart acts they remember from back-when. There’s nothing wrong with that, but that’s not the kind of festival we grew as or wanted to share with people.

Sad to hear that @Blissfields is no more. facebook.com/blissfields/po… Had some great times there between 2005 (where there were 700 people on site) and 2014. The festival’s demise says a lot about the challenging and changing festival landscape.
