🆘🆘 THUMPER TAIL (ID 246545), 7 MONTHS OLD, MALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 1/30/2026, with the surrender reason stated as person health - medical. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 3/19/26 ➡️ JUST A BABY – BEGINNING LIFE ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️🆘🆘 6th Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY RARE – SHELTER AT CAPACITY - COULD BE LAST CALL FOR THUMPER TAIL - VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK– 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 47 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ THUMPER TAIL IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS -He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats and other methods to build a positive association. I thought I was going home today. Instead I found out Fanny and @oldfilmsflicker have ringworm. I’ll have to be away from them for a few of days.
For now, between deep cleaning the apartment, PCR tests, etc we have to fundraise. I really hate doing this.

🚨 SF BAY AREA it makes me very sad that we still have 8 perfect, healthy big kittens growing up mostly in an enclosure here at the rescue. They should be cuddling on someone's lap, zooming around, being happy babies. Soon they'll be a year old and still sitting here, waiting 💔

Eid is tomorrow… 🌙
Today is the last day of Ramadan.
May peace reach every home,
and may every heart find a moment of safety… 🤍
But here… I am still trying to prepare something for Eid with empty hands.
This morning, Hero came to me again… 🐾
He didn’t come because he was full…
he came because he trusts me… even in hunger.
And that breaks me.
I still have nothing ready…
not for the animals who wait for me every day…
and not even for my little daughter, who deserves to feel Eid like any child.
Today I need to go to the market…
to buy something small for her joy,
and food so these souls don’t go to sleep hungry on Eid.

Maybe tomorrow is Eid… 🌙 but here, Eid begins when fear fades… even for a moment. Today, I cleaned this place with my own hands, and built small steps in the earth… dreaming to plant them with life — mint, basil, and flowers. 🌿 When I called them, they came running… one after another. Not for food… but because they finally feel safe. 🐕 This place once held fear… now something else is growing — trust… life… and a small hope for joy.
