@Smithson2706 Not the case. In cricket a captain has more power as to positional changes over the coach, but that doesn't happen in footy. Coach dictates it all. Most Cripps can do is ensure teammates are in the correct set up spot at the bounce.

And our most potent outside speed in Jagga shunted from CBAs. But nah, it totally isn’t the coach as one of the major issues. 🤷🏼‍♂️

@GeorgeFlor41759 Again, just proves the wider issue is on those at board level ratifying these appointments, and the likes of the incompetent Brad Lloyd to find the right person for the job. Not hard to see. If any of those coaches amounted to anything they would've won flags elsewhere.

Does Wright need more evidence to stamp Voss’ papers? How about instructing the side to play safe, throwing numbers behind the ball when we are up by 4 goals. Inexcusable. An inherently defensive mindset that doesn’t fit the narrative of momentum, it stifles it. Bolton-esque.

@GeorgeFlor41759 He was well past relevancy in style, the Pies had the foresight to acknowledge that and shift to Bucks, which says it all. If coaches weren't held to account, we'd still have Leppa at Brisbane instead of dual-premiership coach in Fagan building the list and culture.

@GeorgeFlor41759 If they got the correct appointment in the first place, we wouldn't be having this convo. The inexperience of Bolton and Teague was seen as an issue, so they wrongfully clung to Voss as the ONLY "experienced" candidate, but not necessarily the correct one for the job. Ask Wright.

@GeorgeFlor41759 No coach we have sacked in the last 2 decades has been the wrong decision at the time. None have gone on to have success in the same role we relieved them from. The true issue beyond that is identifying the correct replacement. Board level issues, Brad Lloyd etc.

@tigaaaland Not when you throw extra men behind the ball structurally when you are up by 20+ forcing players into a defensive mindset and thereby stunting momentum and forward attack when you have less numbers forward of the ball.

This is a byproduct of not acting on what should’ve happened. ZERO has changed structurally. Same issues persist. A stubborn coach cannot adapt and refuses to alter what hasn’t worked. But he’ll smirk his way through a presser, and gloss positives out of overwhelming negatives.

Says it all, doesn’t it. Carlton legit the opposite of Pies’ strength in recent seasons, having belief to come back in games and win. We are our own kryptonite, giving teams belief due to our trend. Horrid.
