Jared McCain on if he has played alongside a big man who can make screening a highlight play like Isaiah Hartenstein: “It’s crazy. When I was in Philly, Joel would do that with Tyrese and I was like ‘Dang, that’s really cool right there.’ So being able to be a part of it is really fun. The Wizards trading for Trae Young + AD and benching them both for the rest of the season is a blatant sign that the NBA Lottery system has failed to stop tanking. I came up with a solution to fix it:

@philliefan215 @SpikeEskin I mean his was also in a blowout, so in all likelihood they pulled him out as soon as he hit 100. Once you hit the arbitrary impressive cutoff number, they take you out of the game. Why bother going for 102 when you have 100.

At this point it’s obvious that Morey is just completely incapable of thinking beyond “add a top 15 guy or bust”. At a time when roster depth is the biggest focal point in the league, we have a GM who can only star-hunt and head coach who can’t properly utilize a guy like McCain.
