2021, a season that I will never forget. I need to thank more people than I can fit into this platform but the group than needs thanked the most are the 22 players, 5 coaches, and the families of those individuals. There tireless efforts and commitment made this dream come true.

A huge shoutout to my baseball umpire partner and longtime football official Sam "Chicken" Jones on his selection to the Ohsaa Officials Hall of Fame. He's taught me so much about officiating. Very happy for him. Much deserved. @OHSAASports @EastDistrictAB

@ClintHurdle13 @ClintHurdle13 thank you for writing this! I heard you speak at the 2025 ABCA clinic, and when the book was released, it went to the top of my Christmas wish list. I read in in a day, and I am planning to take much of what’s in the book to our team during our mental prep work .

This is a passage from my book, Hurdle-isms. Tap the link in my bio to grab a copy. ___ Hurdle-ism 11: There Are Two Kinds of People in This World: Those Who Are Humble and Those Who Are About to Be In 1978 during my rookie year in Kansas City, I spent many hours under the tutelage of our hitting coach Charley Lau. By then Charley had established himself as one of the premier hitting coaches in the history of baseball. Many players found their best swings with Charley, and the fact that Kansas City Royals stars George Brett and Hal McRae were disciples of Charley added to his street cred. George went one to become one of the best players and hitters in Major League Baseball history and was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 1999, and Hal was one to the best hitters in the American League for many years. They were two tremendous teammates and friends as well. I spent many hours working with Charley that season. His eye for the swing and his professorial demeanor added to his quiet but confident personality. I don't remember any time that he raised his voice when teaching or coaching unless it was in an uproar of approval. During that first year, I was having an incredibly challenging time with my consistency in the batter's box. Some weeks I was hitting like I invented the game, and other weeks I couldn't hit water if I fell out of a boat. It was truly a roller coaster ride for myself and my emotions. After one of my best offensive weeks of the season, I was awarded the American League Player of the Week Award, which came with a Bulova watch. It had the American League insignia on the dial and an inscription on the back with my name, team, and the week of the season. At the ceremony to receive the watch at a home stand about a month later, I was just about to walk on the field in front of the fans to accept the award when Charley put his arm around me and said, “I'm proud of you, Clint. Always remember, there are two types of people in this world: those who are humble, and those who are about to be. You've been both. Remain the first one.” I wish I could say I learned that lesson my rookie year and never looked back; however, that would be very far from the truth. I've heard the beauty of life is that you get lessons one at a time. When you learn the lesson that life presents you, you become a wiser person. If you don't learn the particular lesson the first time, you get that lesson again, presented differently, until you do learn it. And once you learn that lesson, then you receive the reward of getting another lesson. I've learned a lot of lessons and been humbled each time I do. So I'm here to tell you that I don't want to be the person who “is about to be” anymore. I've pretty much had the ego kicked out of me, and it's been replaced with humility.

@CFBGuy999 No more conference championship games. Crown a regular season champion and implement consistent tie breakers across all conferences. Also, group of 5 conferences get their own playoff system where they will actually have a chance at a championship.

Here is my ideal College Football Playoff format: 1. 16 teams (teams ranked 1-16) 2. No automatic qualifiers 3. Round 1 begins the weekend after CCG 4. No bye weeks 5. National Championship on 1/1 Thoughts?

ND was better than 5 teams in the playoffs: JMU, Tulane, OK, TT, and Alabama…..they should have without a doubt been in. Group of Five teams should have their own playoffs, it should be the top 12 regardless of conference. Also, Bama doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt.

I THINK Kerry Coombs is likely to be retained by Whittingham, not 100% confirmed and I can’t say with certainty, but he’s done more than enough if this was an audition for the ST job.

Michigan has more return yards today than they have all season is pretty funny and also a wasted opportunity.

@stoolpresidente He has to be regretting his decision to take the UM job. He’s stuck with a very overrated QB (hopefully he transfers), a horrendous secondary, and zero talent on both O and D lines. 25+ players need to leave and complete roster overhaul.

@wolverinedevot1 @UMGoBlog I would like to see Alford stay, I would like to see Biff in the building, and see Grant Newsome move back to tight ends. I think new coaches would be an upgrade at every other position.
