day 3
been trying to understand wallets a bit more today
like the difference between custodial and non-custodial
custodial is basically when an app or exchange holds your funds for you
like you log in with email/password and that’s it
non-custodial is different
you hold the keys yourself (the seed phrase)
sounds better but also risky
cuz if you mess up or lose it… no one can help you
so yeah it’s like
custodial = easy but you trust them
non-custodial = full control but full responsibility

day 2 learned more about seed phrases today it’s basically like the master key to your wallet when you create a wallet, you get those 12/24 random words that’s not just backup… that’s the actual access like if I lose my phone but still have the seed phrase, I can recover everything but if someone else gets those words they can import my wallet on their device and take everything no password needed so yeah… whoever has the seed phrase owns the wallet
