I truly don’t understand how we’re at war when only congress can send us to war.
And why is a war resolutions act being thrown around when there’s a whole constitution that lays this out?
What am I missing. I am truly asking. I don’t get it!

@TRice65227 @keithedwards Fair point. But there's a good faith argument that if it walks like a war and quacks like a war, it's a war. Whether Congress declared it or not. And if not, then that's a pretty big deal.

@CAdams7 @keithedwards Yes, because Congress has not declared it a war. And it’s no different than what Obama did in his term.
I don’t like that anything is happening in Iran. But to say it’s a war to gin up some war powers act discussion is not a good faith activity.

@TRice65227 @keithedwards I'll reluctantly bite, because you at least seem to be in good faith so far, but is your argument circular? In that it isn't a war because congress didn't declare it a war? Or on some other basis, be it the scale or limited sustained nature (for now) of the actions?
