Students in the 5th and 6th grade Tech Ambassador program have been working hard to prepare for the first annual "STEAM Week" which will take place from April 6-10th! Learn more at ces.lnsd.org!

First and second graders recently took a field trip to Mills Riverside Park in Jericho, where they spent the day studying nature and growing friendships!

Our 5th graders capped off an incredible time learning at STARBASE Vermont by launching their self-designed rockets last week! They also explored flight simulators and learned through many hands on science and engineering activities. Thank you to the STARBASE team!

Congratulations to both teams of CES students who participated in the statewide Jr Iron Chef competition on 3/14/26! These culinary experts mastered their skills over the course of five months and created recipes that wowed the judges at the 18th annual competition.

We are pleased to announce that CES will be hosting opportunities for staff, students, families, and community members to meet the principal candidates! You're invited to a Community Meet-and-Greet session on Tuesday, March 24, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the School Library.

The CES Jr Iron Chef teams are busy practicing ahead of the statewide competition on March 14th! Yesterday they whipped up a lasagna lunch for the attendees of the Cambridge Town Meeting! In addition to lasagna, the meal featured rolls, garden salad, cake, and pie.

We had so much fun at our February Celebration of Learners on 2/19- we recognized twenty five students for the ways that they have been snowing confidence and compassion through their learning. Great job, everyone!

Healthy hearts and happy faces! This week started with a celebration of physical health, emotional well-being, and community service as CES students participated in the Kid's Heart Challenge.

How can we make CES a positive place for everyone to be? The student council leadership team has been working to answer this question and spent yesterday diving deep into survey results, planning next steps, and practicing leadership skills.

Look at this crew of old-timers (led by the one and only Granny Edgerton) who made it all the way to the 100th day of school!

The CES Jr Iron Chef teams flexed their culinary skills yesterday by treating CES staff members to a delicious lunch! These 6th graders are gearing up for the statewide competition that will be taking place on March 14th.

Shout-out to these CES 5th and 6th graders who spent the morning volunteering at the Cambridge Area Rotary’s Pie for Breakfast event! The Rotary helps out out our school and community in so many ways, and it’s great to see these young adults joining in!

5th and 6th graders had an epic week of skiing and boarding at Smuggs! Students learned the power of perseverance while advancing skills, strengthening friendships, and developing a love of winter sports.
