Storm damage in the central Adirondacks is pretty wild. Rte 28/20 closed between Blue Mountain Lake and Long Lake. One of the washouts is here.

Environmentalists and animal activists and even some hunters are counting on @GovKathyHochul to sign this bill into law to ban wildlife killing contests!

Yesterday's storms, with heavy rain and flash flooding, washed out tracks along the Hudson Line north of Croton-Harmon and on the Wassaic Branch. Third female resigning from the Warren County Board of Supervisors in a matter of a few months, along with my decision not to run for re-election (& Supervisor Tara Gaston not running again). Coincidence? I think not. We have work to do to support women in local government.

The State legislature has passed a bill that would end senseless slaughter caused by #wildlife killing contests. The bill’s endorsement by @GovKathyHochul would make #NY the 9th state to pass this type of legislation. humanesociety.org/news/new-york-…

This bill stops wildlife hunting contests that incentivize killing certain animals for prizes. Now it just needs signed into law by @GovKathyHochul.
