@CLewXM@newrorynmal@MAL___@TheVolumeSports That would require Drake coming back to the states and granting Hip Hop media an interview, so far, he’s determined to tour and collaborate with every country but the United States. So I guess we will see someday….🤷🏾♂️
JAY-Z says the Kendrick Lamar / Drake beef went too far and admits he “almost wishes” it didn’t happen:
"In this day and age, it's so much negative stuff that comes with it ,that you almost wish it didn't happen."
"I don't know if battling needs to be part of the culture anymore." (via GQ)
Clip culture is an issue as well because from that one clip about rap battling people's response is "Rap battles have always been apart of the culture" in the interview Jay explains Hip Hop started with 4 main pillars. Break dancing (no one no longer does) DJing (was at the forefront and the MC was support) Graffiti (not like it used to be) and Rap Battles. So the argument that it always has to be around and done the same is a lazy one.
J. Cole says he's had conversations with Drake and Kendrick Lamar after the beef, but communication has been low:
"I genuinely love these n****s. I be wanting to shoot off a text, I ain't gon' lie. Even saying that on the mic is kinda lame to me, but it is my truth."
(via Talk With Flee)
I’m sorry, 11-seed Texas is not a Cinderella.
When you have $7 trillion in NIL and kids are driving Lamborghinis, it’s not exactly a “Cinderella story.”
Now, High Point?
Yes, absolutely.
@peekdurusneaks@JColeVillle He did give more to drake but still left the door open for Cole to feel like it's smoke. But I understand your point. Mine was more so about how the public has treated Cole over time but with your pov if he didn't say anything at all maybe nothing happens.
@CLewXM@JColeVillle My point is to the unbiased objective ear it’s clear that Dot gave more bars to Drake and really wasn’t dissing Cole like that. In real time I thought it was strange for Cole to respond before Drake.
