$190T+ in annual cross-border payment volume still runs on correspondent banking chains. Project Pax by @datachain_en and @progmat_en settles via a system that uses Cosmos's IBC instead to deliver real-time settlement and 24/7 payments.

The last year of IBC, in highlights: IBC v2 shipped. The biggest protocol upgrade since launch makes it dramatically simpler to implement on any type of network, not just Cosmos SDK chains. Ethereum joined the network, with ZK-enabled verification keeping transfers under $1 and settling in seconds. Major protocols adopted Eureka. @babylonlabs_io is using it for Bitcoin staking flows. @dYdX brought Ethereum liquidity into its derivatives platform. @MANTRA_Chain is bridging institutional capital from Ethereum into Cosmos-based RWA markets. @injective added Eureka support for its vault platform. Institutional rails went live. In Japan, MUFG, SMBC, and Mizuho, the country's three largest banks, are building cross-border stablecoin settlement infrastructure on IBC through @progmat_en and @datachain_en Project Pax. Two CBDC programs are also in development on the Cosmos stack. From a single transfer between two ledgers to the connective layer between hundreds of ledgers and regulated financial institutions...
