IBC has been enabled on @Optimism for the first time ⚛️ The first IBC transfer between OP-Sepolia and Ethereum Sepolia has been completed. It's a new implementation built by @tokifinance & @datachain_en, aiming to unlock IBC for OP Stack chains🧵

3/ What is the OP Client? It’s a stateless ICS-02 client built to verify Optimism L2 state using only finalized Ethereum L1 data. No full node required.

2/ @tokifinance & @datachain_en are long-time IBC contributors. Their team led work to bring the first bank-backed RWAs for Japan onto IBC, as well as other contributions. Now they’re building new implementation to use IBC on OP Stack.
