📸 LOOK: The Rhode Island State House is glowing green. In honor of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, you can catch the green glow through March 25. Thanks to lawmakers & advocates, RI is becoming a place where accessibility isn’t just an idea, but a reality.

When the people you represent cannot access public spaces, it becomes a policy failure. On March 12, 1990, disability advocates crawled up its steps to show Congress what inaccessibility looked like. Just months later, the ADA became law.
