So many people seem to want to defend their political ideals with religious fervor but sometimes things are just about national interests. I think you are conflating the decades long Israeli / Palestinian conflict with the United States participation in a war with Iran. In my post I was reffering to the girls school in Teheran that was hit with two US missiles and replying to those who seem to think that it was intentional. My post was defending my country, the USA. We have long had allies with questionable pasts. USSR in WWII etc... That said, I do not feel much sympathy for Gaza. I watched the footage they shot.
