I am just going to say it. Claiming airdrops on a website needs to stop. This is truly becoming ridiculous. How is it that “AIRDROPS” do not get airdropped anymore? Wtf happened? If a wallet is eligible, your job as a project is to send those tokens to that wallet. Don’t make your loyal users connect to a random website or sign a transaction. If we want to onboard newbies, we must minimise all risks of getting scammed. You must facilitate the process as much as possible and remove all barriers. Claim websites simply increase chances of people getting their wallets drained. Have projects not seen that even the SEC can easily get hacked nowadays? People forget about the wallets that are eligible, or the time they have to claim. Projects add claim links to airdrops knowing there will be unclaimed tokens. I know you want to filter out the loyal supporters. Just choose people better. Limit the amount of wallets or tokens you will airdrop, but pls do things right. If you want to be generous and do free airdrops, don’t just do half of the work. Any extra step you add to the process of receiving an airdrop makes it riskier. Don’t get me wrong, I am grateful for anything free, but we must do better. The risks of a claim link outweigh the benefits a project may have from it. If you care about your customers and you want the best experience, airdrop. Take care of the whole airdrop process or don’t do it if you cannot do it right. If you are going to give, do it in a genuine way. Don’t do it for the free marketing.

There are many reasons why Namaste was a free airdrop instead of a free mint. - I did not want people to have to pay for any micro fees of gas fees for an NFT. - I do not like the idea of forcing buyers to connect their wallets to claim an NFT. - People miss out life changing money by forgetting about a mint date or time. - People have families and an actual life, we should not be worrying about a mint. - Launchpads and projects always profit from micro fees at the time of minting. - All the “free mints” out there are not really free and projects profit with fees. - Projects should facilitate the process of acquiring NFTs as much as possible. - Too many scammers in the space, no website is safe, nobody is trustworthy. - If you want to give something for free, out of love, you don’t add obstacles. - If there is no claim link, we can reduce the chance of people getting drained. - Intermediaries or launchpads should not be needed to give NFTs to people. - The steps needed to receive an NFT must be minimized as much as posible. - NFT Mass adoption will only work if it is safe, simple and intuitive for newbies. - Since 2021, Solana NFTs have only become more complex and technical. - I wanted to do things differently with Namaste. We don’t follow the crowds. - The Love Meta creates no barriers or obstacles for one to receive free love.
