We’ve passed life changing legislation and a biennium budget that is balanced and invests in our state’s future. One hundred and forty seven days ago the House was called to order —and we stand confident that at tonight’s final gavel CT is in a better place now and in its future.

4) • Will help thousands of first-time students – regardless of income – attend college cost-free. No one should be denied an opportunity to go to college, earn a degree and become a contributing member of our Connecticut community.

3) • Provides those attending community college for the first time in Connecticut an opportunity to be eligible for an award that covers tuition and fees that are not already met by federal Pell grants or other financial aid.

1) Included in the state budget is a policy to allow students attending regional-technical colleges to graduate without debt — which encourages them to start their careers in our state.
