The Adult Survivors Act (ASA), a New York state law was enacted in May 2022, purely in an attempt to derail President Trump’s 2024 run for President. This was a targeted, temporary change to civil procedure/statutes of limitations for adult sexual abuse claims in New York, not a federal law or a permanent overhaul.
