One more thing on this, Buchnevich was traded in July of 2021. If any of this is true then @StapeNHL should explain he decided to sit on it for almost five years? Or is he, like many others, is trying to generate engagement through the "Drury sucks" narrative?

What no one wants to talk about is that if top-3 picks were the correct way to rebuild then TOR, NYI, NYR, NJD, EDM, should have all won at least 3 cups between them over the past 15 years

The exception is Vegas (expansion draft) and Carolina who may not have a star, but they are one of the best at developing players. Whatever NYR are doing now is a bad strategy

The optics here would be rough: #NYR trade away Miller, watch him win a Cup, then potentially lose the player acquired with that cap space less than a year later. Just horrendous, especially for a team refusing to rebuild the proper way.
