@GSGB01 The church should kick him out as the leader. He definitely does not represent Christianity. The monarchy stopped following rules a long time ago. They are not being held to any kind of standard let alone a higher standard.

@JohnHann04 I have seen and heard King Charles' speech. It was at a state banquet held on Mubarak Day where the Nigerian President was in attendance as part of the President's state visit. The speech, although mentioning Eid Mubarak was not a full on address to Muslims.

What the hell are King Charles and Buckingham Palace doing. Have they got zero sense of how to handle public relations and what the public mood is. It’s true that they don’t issue an Easter message every single year. But to NOT do it this year, only weeks after issuing a Ramadan message comes across as a deliberate snub and total hypocrisy. Even if Charles is unwell, get William to do it. Simply to refuse to issue a message to the Christian church and its people of which you are the head, after doing one for Islam is guaranteed to cause uproar and at the very least is just plain stupid.

Britain is a Christian country. The Conservative Party will always celebrate our Christian heritage with deeds, not just words. This Easter, we want to ensure local churches are properly maintained and repaired so we’re announcing a plan to restore funding for the Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme which the government has recently placed caps on. Churches matter. They aren’t just important places of worship, in many towns and villages they are the centre of the community and the pride of local people, often steeped in hundreds of years of history. It is critical we maintain them properly, because when they’re gone, this history and heritage could be lost forever. @Conservatives believe we have a responsibility to protect our churches and make sure they endure for future generations.  What are we for if not to conserve the very best of our country and our society for those yet to come? Conservatives will protect our heritage and build a stronger country.

King Charles is the head of the Church of England. An Easter message when us Christian’s are feeling very sidelined would have been welcome and I would have thought for the sake of the Monarchy, essential!

@NiohBerg This was the state banquet given during the visit of the President of Nigeria which happened to fall on Eid Mubarak. It was a message to the President and people of Nigeria.

King Charles won't deliver any Easter message but was more than happy to pour his heart and soul into islam during Ramadan. Isn't the British monarch supposed to be a defender of Christianity? Or am I getting this wrong?
