"I'm going to wait for a pullback" But in the advancing phase of a new cycle overbought doesn't mean the same thing as in the declining phase. In the advancing phase price can stay overbought for many percentage points. It often embeds in the overbought condition. Too many traders wait until their emotions give them the all clear, but then fail to pull the trigger because price got overbought. You can stop this destructive behavior by focusing on the big picture. Is it a bull market? Is it a strong bull market? If the answer is yes then you don't have to time a perfect entry. You just need a plan to buy and then hang on. The bull will rescue any long entry no matter how badly timed. So you can stop out over and over trying to time and perfect entry or you can just decide "it's close enough" and get on board. It shouldn't be long before the same people that were assuring me price couldn't go down will start telling me that the metals market is broken and there's no way it can ever go back up. These people will panic sell at the lows and that will be the point were there are no sellers left. That's when the fundamentals will reasert and price will turn and the bull will resume. The next leg up will be even more aggressive than the last one.
