@chrisMcSh @DarranPearce 1 Not sure how much sport you watch but in the heat of the moment in nearly every sport plenty of mistakes are made. People are then penalised and move on. There is a massive duty of care to the horse who was checked by the vets afterwards and found to be absolutely fine.

@CharliePoste @DarranPearce He certainly doesn’t deserve death threats, 12 days is not enough for his conduct, I have made plenty of mistakes, however we have a duty of care for these animals, adrenaline, red mist are no excuse, competive sport requires adherence to the rules whatever your emotional state

This ban was fully deserved. It was disgraceful that Charlie continued to complete the race and it was a terrible look for the hunter chases

@chrisMcSh @DarranPearce Your adrenaline is pumping in the heat of the moment surely in your life you’ve been in a similar situation where you made what in hindsight was the wrong call. It’s nothing more and nothing less. What it doesn’t warrant is people saying they hope he dies….

@CharliePoste @DarranPearce Not sure I can buy this heat of the moment thing, horsemen/ jockeys rely on feel, what’s going on underneath them, his horse was exhausted and was telling him by pulling himself up to trot,what he did was cruel and unnecessary, slow motion abuse
