Name a moment in sports that genuinely broke your heart

Trade Talk At the beginning of the year many people thought the focus of the deadline would be CJ Abrams… that’s highly unlikely at this point but Foster Griffin has taken that light now. First things first he could absolutely remain a Nat for the rest of the season if they rattle off a good win streak prior to the deadline. Beyond that many will say just extend the guy… reality is neither side has much of a reason to extend right now. Nats side they would be extending at a high point when he’s outperforming expected stats meaning regression is likely. Fosters side he’s months away from his first real free agency… why extend with one bidder when you can have 30 teams open to bidding soon. I would sell high if I was the Nats barring a sizable win streak but this will definitely be a story going forward.

Final: Nationals 8, Astros 2 Luis García Jr. was 3-for-4 and hit his career-high 20th home run. Foster Griffin K'd 9 over 7 frames and hasn't allowed more than 1 earned run in 7 consecutive starts, tying a Nats record. Revelatory developments. Record: 48-46
