In a strange turn of events, I am now a stock photo for an education article. I didn’t even know this was a thing. If this teaching gig doesn’t pan out, I guess I can become a stock photo model.

@mrjimenezmath Had a kid in class last week with an AC/DC t-shirt on. I asked him his favorite AC/DC song and he said Hell’s Bells. Then he sarcastically asked what mine was. He was shocked when I said “If You Want Blood”. Always good to gain a little street cred!

Saw a student with a cool Slayer shirt. Obviously, I get excited and start singing Raining Blood. The kid looked confused. She didn't know who Slayer was. Tomorrow, I'm bringing my Bluetooth speaker.

What you say to your athletes today greatly influences who they will become tomorrow. Take time to teach character traits and proper attitude. Speak words of life and love. Use the platform that sports provides us to bring out the good.

@robertkaplinsky I teach advanced algebra I to 8th graders. There is enough time to teach all the standards but is there enough time to teach it with complexity it deserves and allow students time to practice and really understand it in a way they remember it well? Absolutely not.
