Just for context ... the referee is Roger Ayers, who has worked multiple Final Fours. Known for his toughness and also sense of humor. This struck me as Hurley messing with a buddy more than intimidating a ref. This is after Mullins' shot, so Hurley was obviously not mad at the refs.

UCONN HC Dan Hurley made contact with an official after his team went up 1 with .4 seconds left after trailing as much as 19 in the game. He literally taunted an official & is incredibly lucky he didn’t cost his team the game with a tech.

Under no circumstances should behavior like this go unpenalized, regardless of the sport or game situation.
Not unexpected by this coach. Deeply disappointed the official didn't do his job.

Of course, no “tampering,” no “poaching”…just coincidence LSU fired its coach and hired NC State’s within minutes. The USF coach warned other programs to “stay away from my players.” Then, HE was gone…so, nobody had to stay away from HIM. The double standard is laughable. Let’s stop complaining about player choice when coaches leave at the first chance for a better situation for themselves.

Hey NCAA, us more about players that don’t show “loyalty,” don’t want to go through “adversity” and how player movement impacts stability. Tell us more about “tampering” and “poaching.” The Coaches Portal is ALWAYS open. Funny how silent coaches and administrators are about that.

@DerickJonze1 I like Buzz.. But he showed himself to be an awful in game coach. The @B1GMBBall has too many great coaches unlike the @SEC which is just a run/jump/chuck it league. Their best coach is Golden who can’t hold a candle to the top B1G guy. Buzz is in over it
