You’re whipping The last was a novel made to try to make something between Naruto and Hinata (the plan of having Naruto ending up with Kushina-like girlfriend was abandoned by Kishi and his editor) but they did not find a way to really bond Naruto with Hinata. @Pikaces @Konahamaru440 He never friendzoned her, she remained on her path to Sasuke even in his worst moments. Naruto grew mature and accepted that. She even explained to Naruto in one novel that he needed a girlfriend like Hinata instead of one like her.
