What you're actually getting at (my guess): Rumination repeated under inadequate ideas, feeding a passive cycle → the same sad affect loop gets strengthened → the power of conatus decreases → the person becomes more passive, more powerless. Naively speaking, rather than a sharp binary of 'introspection is good or bad,' I think it calls for a more nuanced perspective: 'What kind of introspection, under which ideas, and how is it being done?'”

Reinforcing negative neural pathways via therapy or introspection is a recipe for misery. Don’t cut a rut in the road.

The author had it translated from the original language by both @grok and @Gemini, then carefully selected and blended elements from the two translations to arrive at this final version.
