I will support the basketball program no matter what but we've waited far too long to resort to hiring a retirement tour. We've done that before. I don't want to wait another 3-4+ years to build a sustainable and strong program.

@CraftyCreative Being young has nothing to do with it. Either you can coach or you can’t. Either you can reach players or you can’t. Either players respond to you or they don’t.

ASU has entered a new age. Our programs now have coaches that have energized their programs and are building for the future. We cannot resort back to our old ways of hiring. This is a youth movement that understands what it takes to make an early impact.

ASU went from 73rd to 66th in NET after beating Kansas. ASU is tied for 11th in the Big 12—unable to earn a first-round Big 12 Tournament bye. ASU would likely need to beat No. 6 Iowa St on Saturday and win a few Big 12 Tournament games to enter the NCAA Tournament bubble convo.

@iKollin On a nightly basis, we can all see how he’s out coached. That’s nothing anyone can argue. ASU is a destination and now in the best basketball conf in the country. We can find a coach that will turn this program around. One who activates the valley on the hoops side.

Yes. Unless we’re content with mediocrity and the occasional exciting win, it’s time to move on. There’s nothing about his tenure that warrants an extension. Look at what Dilly did for fball. He campaigned relentlessly and got the resources to build. BH never did that well enough

@CraftyCreative Not to mention he can’t retain players. 10+ new players on the roster every year is not great for a coach who has only had a couple “one and done” talent players in the past 11 years.

There were exciting moments early, but the post-COVID stretch has been rough. NIL has played a role, sure, but the brand of basketball is tough to watch. The lack of ball movement and an ineffective offense. Relying on iso and athleticism isn’t how you build tourney ready teams.

If you know him personally, it’s probably harder to separate that from what’s best for the program’s future. I’m sure he’s a great guy and his players love him, but that hasn’t been enough. ASU is one of the largest universities with massive, untapped resources. We can aim higher
