I have seen the number 66 pop up randomly so many times over the last week. I know there are 66 books in the Bible, but constantly seeing this number over and over again, is just getting weird. Thoughts???

@darlingstrawbie Anglican Christian myself, it can be disheartening to see such a divide, I often defend my Catholic friends because everyone assumes the worse based off of ignorance and bad examples. So when I see it happen in reverse it is a firm reminder that we are so easily misled.

i know evangelicals can get a bad rap online (then again what sect of christianity doesn’t) but even as someone who is exploring catholicism rn, it hurts to see people knock evangelicals so much. there are SO many that genuinely love the Lord and evangelizing is something i think many of them do very well. if it wasn’t for evangelicals i wouldn’t be exploring the catholic church right now, they were the ones who helped get me so interested and motivated to read my bible with all our bible studies, small groups, and sunday school classes. and i strongly identified with the label until very recently as well, so it just makes me sad. i wish we could try to understand each other more instead of always tearing each other apart and taking each other in what often feels like some of the worst faith interpretations possible.

As someone that grew up around different denominations, religions and ministries, it is fascinating when I find fellow Christians that share the word of God and actually strive to live it, but it becomes a mixed bag when I see so many who claim to be Christian yet live in sin, or on the other side of the coin pretend they never did and so they tear others down. I hope more Christians stand against wickedness by being a light in the darkness, living as an example of sacrifice, generosity and speaking the truth. Too many Christians speak out of spite.

We do share the gospel actually, but not quite in the same manner, which is what Rachel is saying. Your form of Christianity came much later and is fragmented through the different denominations and lack of solid leadership. If we look at early Christianity it wasn't about making a ton of noise, but rather growing in our faith through sacraments, traditions, and SHOWING people the love of Christ by living the faith. Prayers not just for the Church but also humanity, liturgy, helping communities, etc.

My goal is to support my family by making comic books full-time, and also to make the IPs that become the new pop culture. >But how will I do that? Because I give my comics out for free, I need to be able to license my IPs out for adaptations to get the money to reach my goal. >But how will I do that?
