First of all, just to have my book on Amazon as a 610 page paperback requires a minimum listing price of $13.87 and I'd receive $0 from that. You cannot post it there without reaching this minimum and it's not only Amazon where you face such restrictions or difficulties. Secondly, I spent about $1,500 just on proofreading, editing, and designing the book. More importantly, I've literally spent thousands of dollars on books and years of my time researching this topic. Most of the people who are requesting free PDFs to share around are the reason why publishing houses and bookstores are closing down. It also causes problems for authors to continue writing. Lastly, anyone who thinks that it is completely impermissible (haram) for a da'i to receive any money at all for their work, please don't buy my book. You literally have no religious grounds for your opinion and you're living in lala land. Listing my book at a price of $31.99 on Amazon results in my receiving only $10.87 per book. I'm not getting rich off of this project. For the people who say, "But it's supposed to be for the sake of Allah akhi!," please tell that to your imam at your local masjid, or your child's Qur'an teacher, or the 'ulema teaching at universities. For the people who genuinely cannot afford it, then you probably should spend more time getting on your feet financially and taking care of your family than wasting your precious time reading my book.
