@CrtnOperator

I write fiction, know a lot about physics, and enjoy watching hockey. I'm here because I like to shout opinions into the void with no expectation of response.

I started a small project to read all of Agatha Christie's Poirot stories in October of 2020. Obviously I've not been rushing it. I finished tonight. It was satisfying, enlightening, and worth every moment. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes to read.

I usually sympathize with Horde twitter but sometimes ya'll make me think you deserve the bad writing when you act like that. If you know you know.

It's not so much to keep people from worrying. The first time you ask for support and dont get it, or get a cursory show, it changes your life. I would bet that the uncle didnt believe he would get anything like the outpouring of support the aunt did.
Ellie@basilYam

My aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer and immediately told everyone about it and solicited as much emotional support as possible (which we were happy to give of course). While processing the news I remembered that my uncle (her husband) had also been diagnosed with cancer (not sure which kind) and I hadn’t heard about it until 3 yrs after he was solidly in remission

It took several expansions for Blizzard to finally just say this to players, but it has been their design philosophy for at least a decade.

If enough people press blue to save them, then great. That doesnt make pressing blue correct, though. Everyone is very sure about their answer, but everyone has a different ser of preconceptions theyre bringing in.
rohit@krishnanrohit

The funniest part about this poll is that people keep asking it, the majority keeps choosing blue, and a minority keeps getting upset that they're choosing wrong. At some point maybe you should revise your theory?

Right. He was almost certainly playing the information game along with her. Even with that aside, though, NFL teams are public facing organizations and a controversial coach is bad marketing. These teams live and die on marketing. It is totally reasonable for him to be fired.
Alec Carr@Aleccarrmma

@Mann_O_Steel17 Doesn't impact his job? He had a years long affair with a reporter who often would know more info about his teams and the inner workings of them. Also if you don't think Dianna wasn't giving him info in return you're crazy. Look at the AJ Brown stuff still happening.

@Velravyn Im not saying the Alliance are the good guys, or even that they were. They were perceived as the good guys when WoW came out, imo. The story has complicated that in the last 20 years. I like the Alliance, but don't hate the Horde. It seems Horde fans tend to hate the Alliance.

The Alliance had never been the good guys until post-MoP and this is baked into the core of the faction: - Rampant Corruption in SW - Nuclear Radiation Fallout killed most of the Gnomes due to politics - Rampant archaeological greed a la Britain - Racism. Extreme Elf Racism. 1/2
CreationOperator@CrtnOperator

Horde fans seem to be united around dislike of the Alliance. I picked Alliance 20 years ago because I wanted to be the good guys. That is more complicated now, but not so much that the two groups are the same. This would make them the same.

@Tzao96 Like I said, it is more complicated now. 20 years ago, the Alliance were the good guys and the Horde were the bad guys in the eyes of the players. Now, both sides are seen as flawed people overall trying to be good as they see fit. Destroying that would be an enormous mistake.

@CrtnOperator As much as modern Blizzard wants to portray it like that, The Alliance have never been "the good guys" and the Horde "the bad guys" and if you see it that way you've been interpreting the setting wrong for the past 20 years.

Imagine how cool It would've been if the Blood elves tried to purify the Sunwell but the night elves, in their infinite wisdom, unilaterally decide to destroy It because "they have to learn to live without It"

That is a different scenario. Choosing red in the original scenario saves yourself and does not preclude anyone else from the same. Here is another alteration: if anyone at all chooses red, even just one person, everyone that chooses blue dies. Which do you choose?
Geoff Penington@quantum_geoff

For those claiming that voting red isn’t a symptom of selfishness, imagine a variant of this where your vote doesn’t determine your own life, but the life of a random person assigned to you...
