After 30 years as a coach, I have seen significant decline in critical areas of our game. What can be done to save it for generations to come? Saw recently that a youth baseball league requires parents to umpire games if they get unruly towards umpires while they are fans. This is genius. Something has to start to bring things back to center. Maybe they should also be required to coach for a week when acting up towards coaches? Both scenarios would bring amazing perspective. Fact is, we are losing the very things that make this game (from youth to HS) even possible. Not only possible, but played fundamentally sound and enjoyable to watch. Without umpires and good coaches, which are both departing in droves, our game will continue to decline. There are still so many great parents, who get it, however, the percentage of fanatical parents is significantly on the rise. And that is a big problem.

Parents..if you have a problem with your kids HS coach, check these boxes before complaining. 1. Does my kid spend 10 hrs a week doing extra work? 2. Does my son pound the weights? 3. Does my son want this as bad as me? 4. Has my son performed? 5. Does my son compete in practice

GAME DAY- Doubleheader @DCTigerBaseball vs. @alx_baseball 📍North Douglas Athletic Complex ⏰ 4:30 & 6:45

Tigers win in comeback fashion 7-3 by scoring 5 in the Top of the 7th. Eli Matute records the win. Several tigers contributed offensively. Tigers will return to action on Monday as they travel to Westlake.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the @NewnanBaseball. Hoping that their player is ok and makes a speedy recover.

Tigers win against their county rival. Varsity improves to 7-2 on the year. Varsity will travel to Hiram on Wednesday @ 5:55 PM. JV will travel to chapel hill tomorrow for a 5:30 start.
