@SandyofSuffolk They want a 4-bed detached with two gardens in a big city, having contributed nothing yet to society.
Waah wash waah when they can't get what they demand. Bunch of whiners.
English

You can buy a nice little house like this in Suffolk with a 5% deposit of £6,000. Nationwide, Barclays and others are offering good deals for first time buyers with only a 5% deposit.
But then you'd have to forego your gap year in the Far East and Antipodes or your fancy wedding. Poor you. Boo hoo. 🤣

English

@essojohn @Florenkat @Jenny_1884 Hahahaha. Your generation now has no respect, I doubt that all changed from when you were younger
English

@Florenkat @Jenny_1884 I agree, but why because we didn't crave or feel entitled to own what others had, we had respect. We built our lives around what we could afford, not what we couldn't.
Broxbourne, East 🇬🇧 English

When I married in 1981 we both worked & most of our salary went on paying the mortgage as the interest rate was 15% at the time.
Everything we owned was 2nd hand & we never went out for meals as we couldn’t afford to.
We rented our TV
Went to the launderette every weekend as had no washing machine.
Only had new clothes at Xmas & birthdays as presents.
We went without until we could save enough to pay for something.
It’s always been hard whether you are young or old.
So those out there that think we had it easy we didn’t.
Our governments are to blame, not the old.
English

@Florenkat @Jenny_1884 Gee I wonder why? Could it be because you could afford a home with 40 hours a week work?? Oooh yes ding ding ding correct
English

@Jenny_1884 We were a million times happier then than most young people will ever experience nowadays.
English

@soetsappies Because they’re a delusional group of human beings. They believe they “worked hard” when really every generation works as hard as they did
English

@ChenilleConrad @shivmalik Except boomers are the ones crying about cities trying to build new houses or condos because their view is gonna be wrecked and value will go down. Cry me a river most selfish generation in the history of the world
English

@shivmalik Sure. But don’t blame the boomers for the fact that an insufficient number of houses have been built for decades. In California anyway. Demand has grossly outpaced supply
English

@Robbear66 @shivmalik Great story… younger generations that just worked hard now can’t afford homes. I work a job that could easily afford a home in the 90s and 2000s, ha no one with less than 10 years seniority owns a home now unless they’re in their 50s and had another career prior to current job
English

@shivmalik Believe it or not boomers did not callously work this all out on a calculator, in a deliberate strategy to rip off younger generations. They just worked hard and did the right things by their families & with the options available to them at the time.
English

@CharlesMcc21137 @shivmalik You’re so delusional, hard work today still doesn’t get you a simple home today. Oh and wake up it’s 2026 not 1980, you can’t find a home for less than a hundred grand but good try
English

@shivmalik No the problem is People don't want a two bedroomed house terraced depending on where you live you can still get for less than a hundred grand and the answer is yes I could.and you can't keep rabbiting on. You need to work hard to get money.
English

@MIXEDBAGCHANNEL @MarketManiaCa Sounds like my 5 years of my late 20s, oh guess what, since then it’s become even more impossible to afford a home. You boomers are so delusional and stuck in 1980 it’s almost painful
English

@MarketManiaCa Home affordability in Canada has always been a struggle. Difference is more young people were willing to make the required sacrifices than the Instant gratification generation now. My first home required me to take on 2 full time jobs & no toys, vacays or weekends for 5 years
English

@Rockdog51 @middle_class_us They didn’t believe in handouts because they weren’t drowning the way younger generations are. lol why can’t you boomers figure this out
English

@middle_class_us Everyone always wants to believe their struggle is harder or worse; struggle is struggle! The older generation just battened down the hatches and did what they had to do to survive! They didn’t believe in handouts! They worked two to three jobs if they had to! New G wants free!
English

@Fortunax22 @Drewvee @jarmstrongbc @GlobalBC @BCFerries Oh lol I thought he said we cannot fail, that makes more sense
English

@Drewvee @jarmstrongbc @GlobalBC @BCFerries From the bridge
we've had an electrical ??
we've lost two generators here
we cannot sail
we're going to ask passengers
to return to the vehicle
unfortunate
thank you all
we'll give you more direction
In a second here
English

Here’s how the captain broke the news to passengers. The lights went out - twice - while the ship was docked at Tsawwassen.

@Archaeologuy Wait till you hear who’s destroyed the oilers the last two June’s…
English

@LimitlesCobz I’m old enough to remember seeing a post like this…. Last Friday and the Friday before that…
English

@GoldenKnights How do you guys lose 3 times to frickin Connor Ingram? Better beat these guys in the playoffs
English

@DavidWolfe Maybe a couple people at best, other than that nothing different than before 2020
English

@DavidWolfe Every one that got the jabs.
Every. Single. One.
English

@m_phlips @ChrisMartin1961 Who the hell cares about a house with marble counters and fancy fixtures? My god your generation is so delusional and out of touch. Younger gens just want a simple house to be able to afford. Near impossible nowadays even with lots of hard work
English

@ChrisMartin1961 “Boomer” here. 63. Could give two sh*ts what anybody else thinks. Worked hard, earned what I have. Didn’t get take out, Starbucks, drove old cars, first house didn’t have marble counters, fancy fixtures, didn’t have lawn service. So nah, no shame here.
English

@dreamingtoo2 @ChrisMartin1961 @AnonBecauseOf lol of course you didn’t have car payments, you could afford a car on a 7/11 type job salary…
English

You want to know about boomers? We got jobs when we were teens .. we rarely went out to eat .. we didn’t have credit cards or car payments, we drove clunkers .. we bought small homes with 1 bath and we went to church on Sunday .. I bought my first house in 1980 and interest was 14% … it wasn’t easy and we worked hard and didn’t expect nothing from the Govnmt .. and all these years later we are still not rich …
English

@ChrisMartin1961 @JNelsonRN You’re so f-ing delusional it hurts. And you wonder why boomers are getting hate
English

@JNelsonRN No they do not, I’m sorry but they don’t want to work like we did; they were handed EVERYTHING, nothing was expected. I had a young nurse tell me today that he planned to stay long term, to him that was two years.
English

@TexasTamieK Saw a massive bumblebee Friday as well as ton of earthworms
English

It was common practice in the 1970’s, 80’s and even the early 90’s to wash your windshield when you stopped for gas every week. Bugs galore covered the windshield and front grill on your vehicle.
That’s not the case anymore. It’s like the bugs have simply disappeared. No bees, no gnats, no flys or moths.
Our skies are being poisoned and killing off the insects.
When was the last time you saw snail trails going across the concrete walkway after a heavy rain? When was the last time you saw earthworms wiggling across your driveway after a nice rainstorm?
Our skies are being poisoned and contaminating the earths soil and killing them.
Eczema and psoriasis are also becoming the norm.
English

@dastyffychen Cry me a damn river. We got paid $4/hour, paid rent and bills then had to figure out how to pay for gas/groceries. You snots have it easy.
English
