France has a long history of repressions post-abolition. Martinique has a long history of resistance : September 1870, February 1900, May 1925, André Aliker, 1943, March 1948, the Basse-Pointe workers, March 1951, March 1956, December 1959, March 1961, Ojam, Guy Cabort-Masson👇🏽

In 1959, the CRS (French riot police) killed 3 men in Martinique…an abuse of power so bad they were banned from the island for decades. When you see Martinicans showing anger toward France, know it’s not "entitlement." It’s a response to a history of violence.

🚨| BREAKING: Speed will be going LIVE in Antigua and Barbuda tomorrow 🤯🇦🇬

When I first went to Guadeloupe, I thought the tombs in the Morne-à-l’Eau cemetery were houses. From afar, it looks like a community 😅

Si on nous apprenait plus l’histoire de la Caraïbes au lieu des Louis all number a l’ecole on en serait pas là aujourd’hui

I love the 🇩🇲Dominica Kwéyòl term Awa! It reminds me of the 🇳🇬Nigerian pidgin Nawa oh, especially the tonality of it.
