Val is red bc his name is Valentino! Bright red is the color of love 😭 He’s got hearts on his fluffy collar and hearts on his wings… I don’t know, that’s the whole point of his character— red is his color just as much as purple, just like Vox is blue AND red.

Val seems to think that Vox should take care of him bc he’s handsome, rather than bc they’ve been together for 40 years. I feel sorry for him. He sees himself as nothing more than a pretty object, and it has to be said that lately Vox has done everything to make Val think that 😔
