Silicon is renting to RunPod so people go through RunPod not Silicon to rent. The value of the GPU NFT is they handle all of the maintenance, infrastructure, operating expenses, etc. If you can do it then great! But I don't have that kind of time to put into it so it's nice to earn a bit on my XCH.

If I wanted to rent a GPU I would just use the vendor directly and not pay silicon.net be the middle man and I also don't see the value long term on paying more for a GPU NFT than the cost of just buying one of them.

But I truly hope I am wrong. It would be a huge disappointment as we need stuff built on Chia that has real value.

@DaOneLuna @FomoTheShow @silicondotnet @chia_project @akashnet I mean, I have own two Chia Silicon NFTs - I've seen the exact opposite, it seems like they're primarily using Chia except where it makes sense to bridge off of it for things like payouts (with plans to do more on Chia later)
