Patiently waiting for the clock to roll around to "time to leave for the doctor's office". Probably wont get any answers/solutions today. Just more fecking questions and tests. I just want the pain to go away enough I can sleep.

It has been over a month since I managed to get more than a couple hours of sleep per night. Words cannot express how exhausted I am. So tired I keep losing track of what day it even is...

@mentalgirlbooks Sarcasm is my love language. If I'm being a smart ass, that means I'm comfortable around someone.

Okay...so I'll admit...I don't use it often...but sarcasm comes in handy....for survival purposes.

@jovial_cynic Haven't really played around with No Distraction mode. I probably should though..... Because one of my biggest problems is I've lost the discipline to resist distractions.

@DaveMWrites I use Scrivener, too! I originally used google docs and organized by putting each chapter into its own doc, but it became too unwieldy for me. I'd lose track of where my 'notes to self' for the story existed. I enjoy Scrivener quite a bit. Do you use the "no distractions" mode?

Having not written anything in almost a year.... I know once I get started again, the words will flood out. But I'm REALLY struggling to get those first words on a page. I can't even figure out what I want to write about.

@zoeallisonauth1 But, on the positive side, you can now smell the future....

Just took a drink from a big bottle of water but misjudged how soft the bottle was and ended up scooshing water right up my nose.

@DaveMWrites I'm not trying to problem solve for you - I'm genuinely curious: What writing editor do you use? Do you feel that certain writing editors do a better job bringing folks into a writing head-space?

@jovial_cynic I'm a big fan of Scrivener for the vast majority of my writing. If I'm just pounding out a quick "one off" for my website, I'll use the built in WordPress editor.

I've upgraded to being a selective, boundary operated, and take them one at a time protecting myself people person. 😄

@jovial_cynic Is it weird that I feel like I get my best writing done on my darkest days? Caffeine dosage notwithstanding. Ironically, it is those dark days when I feel least compelled to write. Maybe it feeds back to your mention of angst and chaos in your last response.

@DaveMWrites I often think about the correlation between my state of mental health and how much quality writing I get done. But the volume of coffee I've consumed probably needs to be factored in there as well...

If anyone has seen my muse, could you please tell them I'm waiting patiently for their return?
