It was dead on arrival to those with a functioning brain. TTD is in a tough spot in its core business too. Large corporate ad agency customers can change DSPs or just migrate some business to other DSPs with too much headache. TTD was looking for additional ways to grow so they tried a streaming OS for a few minutes. We never hear about the Comcast OS either. That was another joke but created FUD in the space.

Larger the mrkt share, the better they are to attract and negotiate with content creators/streamers, which attract advertisers, which makes money to spend on R&D that attracts buyers of $Roku hardware, and the flywheel starts again
