Looks like if the new age based NCAA eligibility rule is implemented (which would allow for five seasons of DI competition), it won’t grandfather in athletes who exhausted their eligibility this year.

NEWS: NCAA President Charlie Baker told ESPN today that he’s “pretty optimistic” that the new aged-based eligibility proposal will happen. The DI Board of Directors met today and will recommend to not implement this rule retroactively for graduates/exhausted eligibility. “If you’ve used up your eligibility, you’ve used it up,” Baker told ESPN of the tenor of the discussion.

These are the current NCAA penalty guidelines for sports betting violations. The NCAA in October passed a rule allowing players/staff to vote on pro sports, but it was rescinded a month later when more than 2/3 of D1 schools voted to reverse the change.
